The Telegraph: Focused Solutions of the Armed Conflict "...Peace through constitutional reforms/ amendments: The position of Nepali Congress (NC), NC (Democratic), Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), Nepal Sadbhavana Party (NSP) rests on this formula. While NC is interested more in limiting the king's power and civilian control of army, RPP lays stress on proportional representation of social groups and women in politics and the state. The CPN-UML is caught between constitutional status quo and a demand for opening debates for constituent assembly. NSP is seeking solution in the territorial federalization of the state and devolution of power....."

The Kathmandu Post, Dec 28 : Parties’ ultimatum to king: Rescind order or face the worst  "...Later, addressing a mass meeting at Ratna Park, senior leaders of the Nepali Congress, CPN-UML, People’s Front Nepal, Nepal Workers and Peasants’ Party and Nepal Sadbhavana Party warned that they may consider a republican move, if the king continued undermining the parties.......General Secretary of the Nepal Sadbhavana Party, Rajendra Mahato said that prolonging of current turmoil would be harmful not only to the king but also to the monarchy as an institution. "The whole Terai region is militarised and separatist movement is going on, any unwise step by the king can lead to worst consequences," he added."
